Overview:
90% of patients with hand, foot, and mouth disease experience severe neurological complications, which have been the cause of fatalities almost every year. It has been found that 90% of these severe complications are caused by Enterovirus 71 (EV71). This vaccine stimulates immunity against EV71 to prevent hand, foot, and mouth disease and reduce the severity of the disease.
